AEW's Jake Atlas Undergoes Surgery On Torn ACL

Atlas sustained the injury early January

Jake Atlas has undergone successful ACL surgery.

The AEW star tore his ACL in January in a match with Adam Cole on Rampage, days after officially signing with the company, and underwent surgery earlier this week.

Taking to Twitter, Atlas wrote:

“Hi everyone! Quick update :)

“My injury from my match with Adam Cole is, unfortunately, a torn ACL. I’m in good spirits, though. AEW has been extremely supportive throughout & surgery yesterday was a success. I’m disappointed this occurred so soon after my return to wrestling & joining AEW, BUT I’m not going anywhere. I’m not quitting. I worked diligently with prehab before surgery & now I look forward to getting straight to work on rehab now post-surgery so that I can get back in the ring as soon as possible & do what I do best.”

Atlas previously wrestled for WWE on NXT and 205 Live before being released in August 2021. Atlas later stepped away from pro-wrestling, only to return in December 2021, before being signed by AEW in January 2022.
