AEW's Kris Statlander Undergoes Surgery To Repair ACL

She suffered the injury back on June 10...

Back on the June 10 episode of AEW: Dynamite, Kris Statlander teamed with Hikaru Shida against Penelope Ford and Nyla Rose. The match ended in disaster for The Galaxy's Greatest Alien, however, as she tore her ACL after hitting a Suicide Dive on Kip Sabian when he tried to interfere in the bout.

Statlander tweeted: "Since the news is out. I told you I'd dive on Kip again and dammit I did. But in doing so, I ended up with a high grade tear in my ACL. Yes I need surgery. Yes I'll be out of the ring for a while. I'll do my best to still show up on your TVs as much as I can."

The AEW star underwent surgery to repair her ACL yesterday and the procedure was seemingly successful as Statlander posted a picture of her giving the thumbs up on Twitter

When she will be back in the ring remains to be seen, but Statlander is expected to be on the shelf for at least eight months.
