Hiromu Takahashi Pulled From NJPW Shows Due To Shoulder Injury

He'll be back by Summer Struggle in Jingu...

On the July 27 Summer Struggle 2020 Tour show, Hiromu Takahashi was noticeably suffering from a shoulder injury during his six man tag team match against Bullet Club. The injury affected The Time Bomb so much that Taiji Ishimori won the match for his faction after locking Takahashi in the Yes Lock.

Takahashi's shoulder issues were seemingly genuine as New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced earlier today that he has been pulled from the July 29 and July 31 Korakuen Hall shows. The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion was set to team with Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI against EVIL, Dick Togo and Taiji Ishimori on both nights. The matches will now be tag team contests whereby Naito and BUSHI will face EVIL and Ishimori.

Hiromu won't be out of action for too long as New Japan confirmed he is expected to return for his scheduled IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title match against Taiji Ishimori at Summer Struggle in Jingu on August 29.  Also announced for the pay-per-view is EVIL vs. Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
