AEW Signs Former Member Of TNA Creative Team

New signing for AEW

All Elite Wrestling have signed RD Evans following his departure from TNA, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

PWInsider noted that Evans is already working for AEW and he was backstage at Saturday night's taping of AEW Collision working on backstage segments. Evans is expected to be at Wednesday night's taping of Dynamite.

Evans reportedly exited TNA Wrestling as relations had become strained between the two parties and Evans was "increasingly frustrated" within the promotion. The belief is that Evans quit the company in recent weeks after several years with TNA.

Prior to his run in TNA, RD Evans worked on WWE creative and he famously resigned from the company during the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. Evans quit as he produced the Hart Foundation speech which mentioned Vince McMahon, something that was so egregious in McMahon's eyes that Evans decided to quit before the former WWE CEO could fire him.

All Elite Wrestling have brought in a number of backstage figures over the past year since the launch of Collision, including Jimmy Jacobs who was also previously on the TNA creative team.
