WWE Backstage Reaction To Sexxy Red's Arrest

Sexxy Red had a busy weekend and it has emerged that the rapper was arrested on Saturday morning at Newark Liberty International Airport for disorderly conduct. Red was arrested after she was involved in a brawl with another group at the airport. 

Her arrest didn't prevent Red from appearing at WWE NXT Battleground at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday night. Red was the host for the NXT special and she opened the show before the six-woman Ladder Match for the NXT Women's North American Championship. She also appeared in several backstage segments, spending much of her time twerking, and she also filmed content for social media twerking with WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels. 

Fightful Select has reported that WWE officials were surprised by Sexxy Red's arrest and they were unaware she had been arrested the day before her appearance at NXT Battleground. The arrest is not expected to affect any future plans WWE have for Red and there were plans in place for more appearances from the rapper as of Sunday night. 

Sexxy Red is a life-long WWE fan and she made her first appearance on WWE NXT in May.
