WWE NXT Battleground 2024 Results

The collaboration between UFC and WWE reached a new level on Sunday, June 9 as WWE NXT presented Battleground from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

The main event saw former AEW talent Ethan Page challenge Trick Williams for the NXT Championship only a couple of weeks after 'All Ego' made his shock debut on the Tuesday night show. Page was presented as a star during the contest but he was unable to win the NXT Title after getting into an argument with the referee after Page repeatedly hammered away at Trick in the corner. The argument made Page turn his back to his opponent and as he spun back around, Williams decked 'All Ego' with a Trick Shot to score the 1-2-3 out of nowhere. 

History was made in the semi-main event as TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Title. The two competitors put together a widely-praised match but shenanigans came into play during the closing moments as Tatum Paxley made her way through the crowd and stole the Knockouts World Title. Before she could escape, though, TNA's Ash By Elegance (FKA Dana Brooke) attacked Paxley and they were both promptly laid out by Jordynne Grace.

The Knockouts World Champion followed up with a Death Valley Driver to Roxanne Perez once she got back in the ring but the former Rok-C countered a Grace Driver into a Cutter and she hit the Pop Rox moments later to record the successful title defence. 

A new champion was crowned in the opening contest as Kelani Jordan defeated Sol Ruca, Fallon Henley, Jaida Parker, Michin, and Lash Legend in a Ladder Match to become the first-ever NXT Women's North American Champion. The closing minutes saw everyone work together to take out Lash Legend and Kelani Jordan soon dispatched of Michin before she climbed the ladder and grabbed the briefcase. 

It was a good night to be a champion overall as Oba Femi recorded a successful NXT North American Title defence, defeating Wes Lee and Joe Coffey in a Triple Threat Match. NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom also kept ahold of their belts following their win over Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. 

Lola Vice's push also continued at NXT Battleground as she defeated Shayna Baszler by TKO in their NXT Underground Match.
