AEW Signs Red Velvet

Red Velvet is #AllElite

Cody Rhodes announced on social media recently that Red Velvet has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling.

He tweeted: "At The Crossroads @AEWonTNT event squaring off against @SHAQ & Jade...Red stepped up in a huge way! @TonyKhan saw what over a million people saw that night and upgraded her contract. She's ALL ELITE now! Let's stir it up my friend."

Red Velvet has since reacted to the news on social media, writing: "Can't even find the words to describe how I'm feeling. Beyond grateful. Thank you to my AEW family for this amazing opportunity and for all the guidance and help I've received through this journey. It's only the beginning. Proud to announce I’m officially #ALLELITE."

After spending four years on the independent scene, Red Velvet debuted in AEW on the June 10, 2020, episode of Dark, teaming with Kenzie Paige against Allie and Brandi Rhodes. She has since become a regular performer on AEW programming and recently teamed with Cody Rhodes against Jade Cargill and Shaquille O'Neal on the March 3, 2021, edition of Dynamite.
