AEW Star Wants WWE WrestleMania 39 Match With Bobby Lashley

An AEW star wants a match at WWE WrestleMania 39

An All Elite Wrestling star wants to go one-on-one with Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39.

Taking to Twitter, Brian Cage posted that Cage vs. Bobby Lashley III at the Showcase of the Immortals would be the match "if there was a forbidden door like never before." In his reasons for the match, Cage noted he was undefeated against Lashley during their time together in IMPACT Wrestling, that Lashley needs an opponent for WrestleMania, and they are the "best body guys of individual companies." Cage also stated that he's "pretty sure I got nothing to do and in town after SuperCard of Honor."

Cage has been tipped to leave AEW/ROH when the agreement between both parties ends after Supercard of Honor, although he has reportedly been offered a contract extension comparable to his current deal by All Elite Wrestling.

Cage was said to be interested in exploring free agency and WWE are believed to be interested in speaking to the former IMPACT World Champion. If a deal can be worked out quickly, Cage could conceivably appear at WrestleMania 39 or maybe as a surprise on the Raw after WrestleMania.

Bobby Lashley was slated to face Bray Wyatt at the Show of Shows on April 1 or April 2 but that match is up in the air while Wyatt deals with a reported illness.

Lashley and Brian Cage twice faced off inside the squared circle in IMPACT Wrestling in early 2018. Cage won both matches and Lashley left soon after, returning to WWE on the Raw after WrestleMania 34.
