AEW’s special edition Road Rager 2022 edition of Dynamite is set to be a packed affair, especially after the announcement that the AEW World Tag Team Championships are set to be defended on the show in a three team Ladder Match.

Champions Jurassic Express will be looking to keep hold of the gold in their first ever ladder match as a team in AEW, but the odds are seemingly stacked against them, as they will be facing off against The Young Bucks and The Hardys.

Tensions between The Hardys and The Bucks have not cooled off since Matt and Jeff Hardy defeated Matt and Nick Jackson at Double or Nothing, with the champs getting involved after The Bucks pinned Jungle Boy during a ten-man tag match on the June 1 edition of AEW: Dynamite.

The challenge for Road Rager was thrown down by Jurassic Express’ mentor Christian Cage, a man who knows ladder matches - and The Hardys - very well. However, even though the news was warmly received by both The Bucks and The Hardys, Jungle Boy looked exasperated with cage, as tensions between the two continue to grow.

AEW: Dynamite Road Rager is set for June 15.

Announced card:

  • Jurassic Express (c) vs. The Young Bucks vs. The Hardy Boys - AEW Tag Team Championship Ladder Match
  • Chris Jericho vs. Ortiz - Hair vs. Hair
  • Wardlow vs. 20 Plaintiffs
  • Ethan Page vs. Miro - AEW All-Atlantic Championship Qualifier
