The AEW World Title match has been officially announced for Revolution and Jon Moxley will put the belt/briefcase on the line against Cope (AKA Adam Copeland).

Cope initially challenged Moxley to a title match at Revolution on the February 1 edition of Collision but Moxley rejected the challenge. Cope upped the ante on Wednesday night's Dynamite, though, as he and Jay White stole the briefcase containing the AEW World Championship.

In the closing segment of Dynamite, Cope threatened to destroy the case with Spike the nail-filled baseball bat unless Moxley accepted his challenge. Moxley agreed to the match and Cope attacked the briefcase with Spike anyway, with Marina Shafir only managing to recover the case following a PAC distraction.

Jon Moxley vs. Cope has been building ever since the then-Adam Copeland made his return to AEW at Worlds End in December 2024. Jon Moxley has been AEW World Champion since defeating Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream in October 2024.

AEW Revolution will emanate from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California on March 9. It will be AEW's first show from the former Staples Center.

Beyond Jon Moxley vs. Cope, Big Justice revealed to Cultaholic that Big Boom AJ will be in action at Revolution.
