NJPW Expands UK TV Deal

New Japan Pro-Wrestling have expanded their UK TV deal with Extreme Channel, it was announced today.

The new agreement will see major NJPW events air in full on Extreme via Channelbox TV (Freeview channel 271), the Channelbox app and the Extreme Channel app. The new partnership begins with the airing of Wrestle Kingdom 19 on Saturday, February 15 at 6 pm GMT. This will be followed by Wrestle Dynasty in late February and new events will air on the channel on a bi-monthly basis.

NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi said: "I couldn't be more excited for fans in the UK to sample the red hot action of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and I hope you show your support for NJPW and Extreme. UK fans - aishitemasu!"

The Extreme Channel via Channelbox also features several UK independent wrestling promotions, including NORTH Wrestling, Burning Heart, ATTACK! Pro Wrestling, and Fight! Nation Wrestling.

Outside of UK TV, fans can watch NJPW live in the United Kingdom through a subscription to NJPW World.

NJPW held their latest major event on Tuesday, February 11 in New Beginning in Osaka. The main event saw Hirooki Goto finally reach the top of the mountain in NJPW, winning the IWGP World Heavyweight Title from Zack Sabre Jr.
