It has been a rough couple of months for Hologram in AEW, after he picked up an ill-timed injury just as his new storyline with an evil version of himself, El Clon, was set to begin. The debuting El Clon joined the Don Callis Family faction, though it came with Hologram being out of action and put on the shelf for the time being.
Back in September, Hologram was written off AEW programming following an attack from TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, cancelling their scheduled TNT Title match in which El Clon was scheduled to debut on-screen. Orange Cassidy instead stepped in to face Fletcher. It was announced on commentary by Tony Schiavone that Hologram had suffered a serious injury with him scheduled to be out for a while, though the exact nature of his injury was unknown.
Hologram has now taken to social media to reveal that he has officially undergone knee surgery. He captioned his video with;
“Surgery. Rehab. Rise up.”
It isn’t known when Hologram will return, with AEW’s Tony Khan previously suggesting that it would not be until 2026.
