AEW's Hangman Page Reportedly Taking Time Off Ahead Of First Child Being Born

Page was written off TV last week

The reason Hangman Page was written off All Elite Wrestling TV has been revealed.

The Anxious Millennial Cowboy looked to be on course for an AEW World Championship match against Kenny Omega at All Out, but Page and Dark Order shockingly failed to defeat The Elite in a bout that would have earned them opportunities at the world and tag team titles.

It then emerged that Page would not even be in action at the All Out pay-per-view on September 5 and the former AEW World Tag Team Champion was written off TV last week following a beatdown from The Elite that included multiple BTE Triggers.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has now noted the plan was always for Page to have some time off ahead of his first child being born for family time.

Page announced in June that he and wife Amanda were expecting their first child, writing: "hey we got a baby on the way! we're excited, terrified, but mostly overjoyed. thank you."

When Page will return to the promotion is currently unknown, but many expect him to eventually be the one to dethrone Kenny Omega.
