AJ Styles WWE Return Date Revealed

AJ Styles will be back on WWE programming very soon

AJ Styles has been off WWE programming for three months, last appearing when he lost out to Cody Rhodes in an ‘I Quit’ match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the 2024 Clash At The Castle: Scotland premium live event. During this absence, he competed against Naomichi Marufuji at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Destination event, and has only appeared on WWE house shows in the time since.

On last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, a video package aired teasing the impending return of the former WWE World Champion, with it being revealed that he will be making his comeback on next week’s October 4 edition of Friday Night SmackDown in Nashville, Tennessee in the Bridgestone Arena. This is WWE’s go-home show before the Bad Blood premium live event the following night in Atlanta, Georgia.

It isn’t known what direction AJ Styles’ character will take, with him working under a heel character throughout much of 2024 since his return from injury. This return comes on the back of news that his WWE contract may be set to expire in the coming months. Next week’s episode of SmackDown will also feature a triple threat tag team Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships, featuring The Bloodline, DIY and The Street Profits, and a Dumpster Match between Michin and Chelsea Green.
