Aleister Black Had A 'Good Relationship' With Vince McMahon In WWE

"We just couldn't nail down what Aleister was on the main roster compared to NXT."

Aleister Black says he had a 'good relationship' with Vince McMahon during his time in WWE.

Black was released by the promotion on Wednesday 2 June along with Braun Strowman, Ruby Riott, Lana, Buddy Murphy and Santana Garrett, in the latest round of cuts by the promotion.

There had previously been reports that Vince McMahon did not see anything in Black on the WWE main roster, rumours that Black has now moved to correct, saying he and the boss always got on well and that the WWE Chairman enjoyed his work.

Speaking in a live Twitch stream, Black said: "Being on the main roster, in all my conversations with Vince, he was always positive. I had a good relationship with Vince. I always told him how I felt and he respected that about me. He praised me on my creativity and manners of respect while being honest about how they felt.

"You don't need to know why things ended why they did, but Vince was always high on me. We just couldn't nail down what Aleister was on the main roster compared to NXT. Where that problem lied, I don't know."
