Alex Shelley Added To PWG Battle Of Los Angeles 2022

The indie champion is in BOLA

Alex Shelley will enter the 2022 Battle Of Los Angeles, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla announced on Tuesday.

PWG tweeted: "Alex Shelley is the second entrant in the 2022 Battle of Los Angeles!"

The promotion had previously announced that new NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling star JONAH was the first entrant in BOLA 2022. Battle Of Los Angeles will return after a two-year hiatus in January 2022.

The event has previously been held over three nights but the 2022 tournament will be over two nights on January 29 and January 30.

After almost a year away from the ring due to his commitments as a physical therapy clinician, Alex Shelley returned to wrestling in September 2021 and re-established himself as a top star on the independent wrestling scene. He has performed for the likes of MLW, Warrior Wrestling, GCW and Beyond Wrestling in recent months and he is also the reigning IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion.

Shelley has been a regular in PWG since the promotion's return. He first defeated Jonathan Gresham at Threemendous VI before losing to Bandido in a PWG World Title match at It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll).
