Alex Shelley Returning To IMPACT At Sacrifice For "Dream Match"

Old allies turned foes

Over a year after his last match for the promotion, Alex Shelley will return to IMPACT Wrestling at the upcoming Sacrifice IMPACT Plus special.

In what has been billed as a "dream match of epic proportions" by IMPACT, Shelley will go one-on-one with Bullet Club's Jay White.

Both White and Shelley have a history from their time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Ring Of Honor and they regularly teamed together in ROH, particularly during White's American excursion when they were a part of the Search & Destroy faction along with Chris Sabin and Jonathan Gresham.

White would return to NJPW in the autumn of 2017, though, going on to become the leader of Bullet Club and a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, and he and Shelley haven't crossed paths since.

Also set for Sacrifice is a Knockouts World Tag Team Title match between champions The IInspiration and The Influence. Both teams were originally set to face off at Hard To Kill but the match was scrapped after Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay were exposed to COVID-19. The IInspiration then defeated Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood on January 27.

Sacrifice will take place on March 5 at the Old Forester's Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.
