Alexa Bliss Responds To Fan Criticism Of Current WWE Character
Bliss is having fun with her on-screen persona
Jun 24, 2021
Alexa Bliss has taken to social media to respond to fan criticism of her current WWE character, saying she's not worried what people think because of how much fun she's having.
Since mid-2020 Bliss has adopted many of the traits associated with 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt. The former Women's Champion aligned with Wyatt and was heavily involved in his feud with Randy Orton at the end of 2020 and in early 2021, but appeared to betray him at WrestleMania 37.
Bliss' spooky character, which includes a lot of suspension of disbelief, has faced both praise and negativity from the WWE Universe. While Bliss was recently praised for her character work, some of the booking - such as Lilly the doll and the use of trances - has come into criticism.
For Bliss, however, she doesn't worry about what people think, writing on Twitter: "They can say what they want… but I’m actually having fun."
Bliss received an overhauled entrance, complete with new theme and music, on this past week's episode of Raw. She and Nikki Cross qualified for the Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match with a win over Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
