Alexa Bliss Vs. Natalya At WWE Super ShowDown Not Approved By Saudi Arabian Government

No women in the ring it seems...

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Renee Young, Natalya and Alexa Bliss were travelling to Saudi Arabia.

Young will be commentating on the event inside the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, just like she did at Crown Jewel last November.

WWE were reportedly looking to host a groundbreaking match between Alexa Bliss and Natalya as part of the Super ShowDown card.

With the main card around an hour away from starting, Figure Four Online have learned that the potential matchup hasn't been approved by the Saudi Arabian government: "Those in Saudi Arabia noted to us that Natalya vs. Alexa Bliss, a match they hoped to be a late addition on today's WWE Super ShowDown event, was not approved by the Saudi Arabian government," their report stated.

"At one point, the government had indicated to WWE they could have their first women's match on this show, but then wavered on it."

WWE are into the second year of a 10-year deal with Saudi Arabia in support of Vision 2030 - Saudi Arabia’s social and economic reform program.
