Alexander Hammerstone Signs New Deal With MLW

The MLW World Heavyweight Champion is tied down through 2023

MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone has signed a new deal with the company.

The news of Hammerstone re-signing comes courtesy of Fightful Select, with Hammerstone confirming to Fightful that “the extension was another multi-year one, taking him at the very least until the end of 2023 with the company”, this comes as a multi-year deal he signed in 2019 was coming to an end.

The re-signing of Hammerstone is a major coup for MLW, as many have the big 30-year-old pegged as a potential breakout star, and likely a very strong fit for the likes of WWE.

Hammerstone also told Fightful that the MLW schedule was an attractive reason to re-sign with the company, as it allows him to still work independent shows, whilst prohibiting him from appearing for nationally televised wrestling companies.

Hammerstone is the face of MLW, being undefeated in the company since late 2019, before becoming the inaugural MLW National Openweight Champion, en route to defeating Jacob Fatu for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship in October 2021.
