Amazon Predicted To Land WWE Raw Media Rights

WWE Raw to Amazon Prime Video?

Could WWE Monday Night Raw end up on Amazon Prime Video?

In his predictions for 2024, John Ourand of Sports Business Journal has predicted that Amazon will secure the United States media rights to Raw and keep the series on Monday nights.

Ourand wrote: "Amazon gets 'WWE Raw' rights and keeps the series on Monday nights. This hits an audience of young males, a demo where Amazon believes it sees growth in Prime subscriptions. Plus, it gives the company another night of live programming on Prime Video."

Should Amazon not secure the rights, though, Ourand has predicted Disney would cut a deal with TKO for both UFC and WWE Raw. This would see Raw air on FX.

Amazon has looked to expand into sports programming and has broadcast a select number of Premier League matches in recent years, among other sports.

Monday Night Raw currently airs on USA Network but the show is expected to leave the network for the first time since 2005 when the current deal is up in October 2024. In addition to Amazon and Disney, WWE have held talks with Warner Bros. Discovery in recent months following the return of CM Punk. AEW's Tony Khan said the WWE-WBD talks were a "part of sports" when asked about the situation.

WBD already broadcasts pro wrestling programming in AEW Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision on TBS and TNT.
