Andrade El Idolo Is Likely 'Not' The Unnamed Former WWE Champion Rumoured For RAW
Andrade El Idolo is reportedly not the name referred to when it comes to appearing on RAW
All the chatter when it comes to Andrade El Idolo is that he is expected to head back to WWE following the expiration of his AEW contract, which Tony Khan confirmed would be ending come the turn of the new year when speaking at the AEW Worlds End post-show media scrum.
Over the weekend there has also been speculation regarding a “former WWE Champion” who WWE are looking to tie down for the upcoming Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW, with Triple H adding fuel to that fire by telling fans to keep tuned without confirming or denying any rumours. Andrade of course is a former NXT and United States Champion in WWE, leading to some talk that he could be the name being discussed.
Sources have told Fightful Select though that they would be “befuddled” if Andrade was the man being spoken about, and heavily indicated that this was not the case, especially as he was still under AEW contract when Triple H sent out his tease on X.
