Another New WWE Signing Debuts At NXT House Show

A new name has made their official NXT debut

A new name has made his debut for WWE’s developmental brand NXT over the last couple of days. On Friday February 16 on an NXT live event at the University Arena CDC Gymnasium in Tampa, Florida, Brogan Finlay had his first ever WWE match.

Brogan Finlay is the son of former WWE superstar David Finlay, and he is a fourth-generation wrestler. In December at the back end of last year, it was revealed that Finlay had been successful in a WWE tryout and has signed to the company officially. In the two months since then he has been at WWE’s Performance Center to train, with him now seemingly being deemed ready for WWE.

At just 21 years of age, Finlay is among the younger names now in WWE developmental. His debut match came against Charlie Dempsey in a losing effort. Dempsey is of course the son of William Regal, making this a generational battle between two young names. Finlay made a name for himself on the independent scene, impressing in the likes of GCW, Black Label Pro, and Beyond Wrestling.
