Anthony Bowens at AEW Dynasty 2025

Anthony Bowens made his return on the AEW Dynasty Zero Hour and exacted swift revenge on his former tag team partner Max Caster.

Caster hosted his latest Best Wrestler Alive open challenge and after irritating the Philadelphia crowd, he was interrupted by the lights going out. When they came back on, Anthony Bowens, with the nickname 'The Pride of Pro Wrestling', made his way to the ring with Billy Gunn, who was making his own return. Bowens and Caster had a quick staredown before Bowens defeated his former Acclaimed partner within seconds following a Discus Elbow.

Anthony Bowens had not been on All Elite Wrestling TV since splitting from Max Caster on the January 18 edition of AEW Collision. This came after months of issues between Bowens and Caster and ‘The Five-Tool Player’ confirmed the split of The Acclaimed after he chose Billy Gunn over Caster.

Caster remained on TV hosting his Best Wrestler Alive open challenge series which has seen him lose to the likes of Mark Briscoe, HOOK, Brody King, RUSH, Jay White, and Konosuke Takeshita.

Anthony Bowens and Max Caster began teaming together in 2020 as The Acclaimed. They enjoyed success, holding the AEW World Tag Team Titles for 140 days from September 2022 until February 2023. They also held the AEW World Trios Titles with Billy Gunn for 238 days from August 2023 until April 2024.
