Asuka Loses A Tooth On WWE Raw

Asuka and Charlotte Flair took on Women’s Tag Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on WWE Raw last night, but things didn’t go so well for the Raw Women’s Champion.

While Asuka had Jax in an armbar submission, Baszler ran in to make the save kicking The Empress flush in the face, causing Asuka to legitimately lose a tooth in the process. After Raw went off the air, Charly Caruso confirmed that Asuka did indeed lose a tooth.

Replays showed it was an unfortunate accident, with Baszler’s kick bang on target, and Asuka clenching her teeth on impact. No word yet on if Asuka will be around for next week’s edition of Raw.

Baszler commented on the incident on Twitter, quote-Tweeting an image of Asuka under Baszler’s boot with a caption that simply said ‘#reality’.

Storyline wise, Asuka’s night got even worse, with the Tag Champs prevailing after Charlotte Flair accidentally kicked Asuka, teasing an end to their partnership.

With Lacey Evans taking time away from WWE due to pregnancy, then perhaps WWE are angling towards an Asuka/Charlotte Women’s Title match at WrestleMania.
