Asuka Wins Women's Elimination Chamber Match, Earns Raw Women's Title Shot At WWE WrestleMania 39

Asuka vs. Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39 following Asuka's Elimination Chamber win!

Asuka is going to WrestleMania 39.

The Empress of Tomorrow outlasted Carmella, Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya, Liv Morgan, and Nikki Cross to win the Women's Elimination Chamber Match at the namesake pay-per-view on February 18 to earn a Raw Women's Title shot at WrestleMania 39. The match came down to Carmella and Asuka and after an exchange of pins, Asuka locked in a submission to force Carmella to submit moments later.

Asuka's win comes only a few weeks after she returned from injury at the Royal Rumble with her Murder Clown gimmick. She has looked dominant ever since, picking up wins on Raw and SmackDown.

Bianca Belair and Asuka have only faced each other in singles action once before on a May 2022 episode of Raw and that match ended in a no-contest after three minutes. They have clashed over the Raw Women's Championship at Hell in a Cell 2022 in a Triple Threat with Becky Lynch. Belair retained her title on that occasion.

Belair vs. Asuka for the Raw Women's Title joins the already announced matches of Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women's Championship, and Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39. The show will emanate from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California on April 1 and April 2.
