Aussie Open Win The ROH World Tag Team Titles At Death Before Dishonor 2023

Aussie Open are the new ROH World Tag Team Champions!

Ring of Honor crowned new world tag team champions during the promotion's Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on Friday, July 21 in Trenton, New Jersey.

The Lucha Brothers put the ROH World Tag Team Titles on the line in a Four-Way that also featured The Kingdom, Best Friends, and Aussie Open and it was Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis who came away with the gold. Aussie Open took advantage of worsening issues between the Lucha Brothers and Best Friends and they picked up the win following Coriolis to Trent Beretta.

Aussie Open's win ends Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo's time as ROH World Tag Team Champions after 113 days. They won the vacant belts at Supercard of Honor on March 31.

Aussie Open, meanwhile, became ROH World Tag Team Champions for the first time. They have enjoyed a successful 2023 so far and they were previously IWGP Tag Team Champions and NJPW STRONG Tag Team Champions before an injury to Mark Davis forced them to vacate the titles.

The tag belts were the only championships to change hands at ROH Death Before Dishonor. Six titles were on the line in total but the likes of Claudio Castagnoli, Athena, and Samoa Joe all left New Jersey with their championships.
