Jon Moxley has reportedly been given free rein over his booking within All Elite Wrestling by AEW CEO Tony Khan.

After being asked about Jon Moxley wanting to turn AEW around, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio: "He’s getting the chance, though. Tony is letting him do what he wants...Tony has to approve everything but he's pretty much in charge of turning this place around with this gimmick, and it ain't gonna be easy."

Jon Moxley has led a takeover of All Elite Wrestling on AEW programming since his return in September 2024. Moxley has since ended Bryan Danielson's full-time in-ring career and captured the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream. Blackpool Combat Club has also been changed to the Death Riders and the new faction, beyond Moxley, is composed of Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir.

Jon Moxley's campaign to improve AEW appears to be genuine outside of televised storylines as the AEW World Champion recently expressed his frustration with hearing a backstage official say the bottom of the card doesn't matter.

Jon Moxley has been a part of AEW since the promotion's inaugural show, Double or Nothing 2019. He is a four-time AEW World Champion.
