On the latest Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp gave an update on former AEW Women's World Champion Saraya.

Responding to a listener who noticed Saraya's absence from TV over the past month, Sapp explained:

"Yeah, she’s fine. She’s okay. She’s working on some other projects and she agreed to the one-year extension with AEW."

Saraya's last match occurred on the October 8 edition of AEW Dynamite, where she took part in a four-way number one contender's bout also featuring Jamie Hayter, Nyla Rose, and eventual winner Willow Nightingale. Willow went on to challenge Mariah May for the AEW Women's World Championship at WrestleDream, ultimately coming up short.

Saraya is one of nine women to have held the title, winning it at the first All In event at Wembley Stadium in 2023. She enjoyed a 44-day reign before dropping the belt to Hikaru Shida.

The former WWE Superstar signed with AEW in 2022, having previously retired from wrestling during her time in WWE. She had her first match in almost five years at Full Gear 2022, defeating Dr. Britt Baker.
