Backstage News On CM Punk Being Added To WarGames For WWE Survivor Series

Paul Heyman recently revealed that CM Punk will be the fifth man on Team OG Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series on November 30, with Punk set to join Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn inside the double ring cage.

It has been suggested that Punk’s inclusion in the match is set to play into his burgeoning feud with Seth Rollins, and according to a report from Fightful Select, Punk has always been the planned fifth man for the face team in the match.

The report also states that Punk has been a ‘model citizen’ since his WWE return at Survivor Series 2023, and is believed to have been ‘quite helpful’ in the company, although what tasks Punk has been helpful with have not been disclosed this time around.

Survivor Series will see Punk wrestle his first ever WarGames match, with the concept first used by WWE in 2017 - several years after Punk left the promotion for the first time. Survivor Series has become the home of WWE’s version of WarGames since the 2022 edition having previously been an NXT exclusive.
