The curse lingering over the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships seemingly won't be going away anytime soon.

Jade Cargill was written off WWE TV in a backstage attack on the November 22 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, with Cargill being shown lying unconscious across the hood of a car. Reports have since noted that Cargill will be out of action for a minimum of three months, with rumours suggesting she is dealing with a neck injury that could keep her on the shelf for a year.

Cargill is currently one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions with Bianca Belair. The team are in their second reign with the belts, having regained the titles from the Unholy Union at August's Bash in Berlin pay-per-view/premium live event.

There has been no official announcement about the titles from WWE but WrestleVotes reported on a Backstage Pass Q&A that he is hearing WWE will be stripping Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair of the Women's Tag Team Championships. How new champions will be crowned is unknown but WWE have booked a tournament for vacant titles in the past.
