Backstage News On Renee Young

The broadcaster recently revealed a positive test for COVID...

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided some updates on the recent positive COVID test of WWE hostess and broadcaster Renee Young.

According to the report, Young had felt sick earlier last week with COVID symptoms. She was not tested along with WWE personnel, but personally went and got tested alongside husband Jon Moxley on June 22.

While Young tested positive, Moxley's test reportedly came back negative.

The report goes on to say that WWE was not happy with Young going public with her diagnosis. Meltzer also added, "WWE still at this point has yet to acknowledge the cases or inform the performers and their families of the extent of the outbreak."

Meltzer also wrote, "It’s also notable that neither Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn, Paul Levesque or Mark Carrano contacted her as of 6/25 to ask how she was doing, although a lot of talent did."

It's believed that the current outbreak within WWE stems from a female NXT performer who was behind the plexiglass acting as a makeshift fan during the tapings. This led to the postponement of Tuesday's tapings so that another round of testing could take place.
