Backstage News On Savio Vega & Carlito's WWE Returns

WWE's Backlash pay-per-view featured a number of major moments, two of which were the WWE returns of Savio Vega and Carlito to huge reactions from the crowd in San Juan, Puerto Rico. 

Carlito was the first talent to appear in front of the live audience, making his way to the ring during the San Juan Street Fight between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest to make the save for the rapper and Rey Mysterio. As Rey and Carlito started shuttling Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio of Judgment Day to the back, Savio Vega made his way onto the stage and proceeded to deck Balor with some Kwang-esque offence. 

Carlito and Vega then celebrated with Bad Bunny and the rest of the Latino World Order after Bunny picked up the win over Damian Priest. 

Speaking with WrestlingNews.co, Savio Vega revealed that WWE reached out to him about a return around two months ago, revealing that the plan for him to come back had been in the works for some time. WWE reached out to Carlito on the same day. 

Vega revealed to Cultaholic Wrestling that his return was the brainchild of Damian Priest and Bad Bunny. He was also shocked by the reaction to his appearance at Backlash. Find out more here and here.
