Backstage Reaction To Pat McAfee Swearing On WWE Raw Revealed

What did WWE think about Pat McAfee's line on a certain house made of Brick?

Bron Breakker was in action on the July 8 edition of Monday Night Raw as he remained in the hunt for the Intercontinental Championship. His match with Ilja Dragunov ended in a DQ but Breakker ended the segment on top, demolishing both Dragunov and Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn post-match.

Pat McAfee described Breakker as a "brick sh*thouse" on Raw, with Michael Cole saying moments later that there were other ways to describe the nephew of Scott Steiner. Fans tuning in to Raw enjoyed the line, though, and it got a pop backstage, with Fightful Select reporting there were "some chuckles" over McAfee's comments and a "can't wait for Netflix" line at the Gorilla position. It was also noted there was no heat on McAfee over the line.

WWE Raw will move to Netflix in January 2025 and the switch will allow the company to escape any censorship issues they are currently subject to on USA Network and FOX with SmackDown. Recent episodes of SmackDown have caused considerable frustration within WWE as FOX have often cut the live feed at points to avoid rude gestures from being broadcast.

Pat McAfee's ESPN colleague Joe Tessitore has joined WWE and he will be a lead commentator on WWE TV in a three-man booth with Corey Graves and Wade Barrett. McAfee will be remaining in a two-man booth with Michael Cole.
