Barry Windham Stable & Out Of ICU

Barry Windham is doing better!

Barry Windham's condition has stabilised and he is now out of intensive care, his niece Mika Rotunda revealed today.

"Thank you to all who have reached out, prayed, contributed and sent well wishes to my Uncle Barry this week. I wanted to give an update! I'm grateful to say he is stabilized & out of ICU. Talking & able to stand. Thanks again everyone! There absolutely is power in prayer," Rotunda tweeted.

Windham was in intensive care after suffering a serious heart attack on Friday, December 2 while travelling through Atlanta airport. A GoFundMe was launched to cover his medical bills.

A star of the National Wrestling Alliance and World Championship Wrestling, Barry Windham is best known as a member of what many consider the strongest incarnation of The Four Horsemen, alongside Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and manager JJ Dillon, in the latter part of 1980s. He is also a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, having held the gold for 147 days in 1993.

Windham retired from in-ring action in 2010. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the Four Horseman in 2012.
