Batista has been reportedly cast to play the classic Beowulf character

“I’m here to slay your monstah” (if you understand the reference, all props to you).

“The Animal” Dave Bautista has made a big name for himself in the world of Hollywood following the end of his world-title winning professional wrestling career, appearing in blockbuster movies and franchises such as James Bond film Spectre, the Guardians Of The Galaxy trilogy (and additional Marvel movies), Dune, Glass Onion and many more.

One of his next big roles is set to be as the classic character Beowulf in a live action film focused on the villainous monster Grendel, according to a report from the Hollywood Reporter.

Per the report, the movie is set to be directed by Robert D. Krzykowsk with a cast that also includes Jeff Bridges and Bryan Cranston, making for a pretty star-studded line-up.

The synopsis reads;

“Grendel, which is billed as the ‘tale of the legendary monster at the heart of the Beowulf epic poem who steps forth to tell his side of this riveting story.’”

Batista is also set to appear in “The Killer’s Game”, which also features current WWE superstar Drew McIntyre, though there is no current timeframe on its release.
