Drew McIntyre Cast In Movie With Batista & Ice Cube

Drew McIntyre will miss July Raw 17 due to filming commitments with Batista & Ice Cube

WWE star Drew McIntyre is set to miss next week's episode of Raw after bagging a role in a film featuring Dave Bautista, Ice Cube and Ben Kingsley.

PWInsider noted that the Scottish Warrior will play a part in the upcoming action movie, titled 'The Killer's Game'. The film revolves around a hitman (played by Bautista) who puts a contract out on himself after learning that he is terminally ill. When the hitman learns that he was misdiagnosed, however, he must fight off the assassins looking to collect.

Bautista has been attached to star in The Killer's Game since 2019. Nicolas Cage and Jason Statham were at one point in talks to star in the film. It is not yet clear what McIntyre's role in the film will be. His sole acting credit is for four episodes of a little-seen supernatural horror series called 'The Cursed'.

The 38-year-old returned to WWE at Money in the Bank on July 1, following several months on the sidelines recovering various injuries. Though not yet confirmed, he looks set to square off with Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER at SummerSlam.
