Becky Lynch Can't Wait To Beat Rhea Ripley For SmackDown Women's Title

Lynch was full of praise for the new champion

Becky Lynch may currently be one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, but The Man is already looking to add to her collection of titles.

Speaking with ESPN MMA following WrestleMania 39, Lynch praised new SmackDown Women's Champion Rhea Ripley, but noted that she can't wait to take the belt away from her, saying:

"She is the champion. She is one of the greatest female wrestlers I've ever seen in my entire life. She's a natural, she's a star. She is mesmerizing to watch. She's the future of the wrestling business, I think. But I can't wait to beat her for that title one day".

Becky made it clear that it is Rhea's time right now and that she is excited to see where the new champ takes the division, adding:

"My time is gonna come here one of these days, but Rhea has a lot of time left. I'm very excited [about] what she is going to do for the women's division on SmackDown. I think it needs a fresh coat of paint, and I couldn't think of a better fresh coat of paint than Rhea Ripley".

Lynch and Ripley have only faced off in one high-profile televised singles match, going to a no contest on the November 20, 2019 episode of NXT.
