Becky Lynch Finishes Up With WWE NXT

Becky Lynch gone from WWE NXT

Becky Lynch's time in WWE NXT is over.

The multi-time women's champion dropped the NXT Women's Title to Lyra Valkyria in the main event of WWE NXT Halloween Havoc night one on Tuesday, October 24. Not only did Lynch lose the belt to Valkyria but she put over the rising star following the match, raising her arm aloft with the NXT Women's Championship.

Having lost the title, though, Lynch will be heading back to the main roster, she revealed on Instagram

"The NbeXT era has come to an end. I am immensely proud of my run as NXT womens champion. From getting to step in the ring with some of the finest up-and-comers to open challenges on Raw and being a catalyst for highlighting the wealth of hungry talent we have on our roster. @real_valkyria is the real deal and will be a star for years to come. The future is in good hands."

Speculation has tipped Lynch to eventually challenge Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship, possibly at WrestleMania 40. A future match between the two top stars has been sporadically teased in recent months.

Becky Lynch made her in-ring return to NXT on September 12, defeating Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women's Championship. She remained champion across NXT and Monday Night Raw until her loss to Valkyria. During her reign, Lynch defeated the likes of Indi Hartwell, Kiana James, Tegan Nox, and Natalya.
