Vince McMahon announced his resignation from WWE & TKO through the night, and with him now officially gone from the company, there is no member of the McMahon family (by birth) in a position of power in the company. Ever since WWE’s sale and also since an investigation was sparked into alleged hush money payments in 2022, some of those renowned to be close to McMahon such as Kevin Dunn and John Laurinaitis have now left WWE. There is now an expectation that more of those close to McMahon will soon be gone too.

A report from PWInsider has revealed a belief within the company that Endeavor will “sweep out anyone close to Vince McMahon” in order to have a new and fresh start going forwards, without the cloud of McMahon, his allegations, and lawsuits hanging over them. There is likely to be negativity surrounding any of those who returned to WWE with McMahon after his return to the promotion last year, so it could spell goodbye to their time with the company very soon.

It is noted in the report that whilst McMahon is still a massive shareholder in TKO, his power has diminished after resigning from his role as Executive Chairman, meaning that those close to McMahon’s inner circle will no longer have his backing. He won’t be able to force his way back into a return like he did last time, with him certainly unable to do it on his own. As Endeavor looks to have a fresh start by distancing themselves from McMahon and his allies, it looks to be the first steps towards damage control.
