Beth Phoenix Returns To WWE TV at Day 1
Phoenix left her role as an NXT announce last month
Beth Phoenix made her return to WWE television at the Day 1 pay-per-view, providing the assist for husband Edge in his match with The Miz.
Phoenix made her way ringside after Maryse tried to cost Edge the match against Miz at Sunday's event, having hit The Rated-R Superstar with her clutch bag. Although Miz followed up with a Skull Crushing Finale, Edge was able to kick out.
It was at this point that Phoenix came out onto the ramp, chasing Maryse around the ring before staring down the A-Lister, allowing her husband to recuperate and hit The Spear to claim victory at Day 1.
The WWE Hall Of Famer's return to television has been rumoured since Edge began feuding with Miz and Maryse last month. The three-time WWE Women's Champion departed her position as an NXT commentator following the WarGames event in December.
Phoenix's last involvement on the WWE main roster was an outing on Raw in March 2020, cutting a promo about the wellbeing of Edge before being given an RKO by Randy Orton.
