AEW merchandise numbers for Better Than You Bay Bay are through the roof
It’s been one of the most unlikely but most popular pairings in All Elite Wrestling history, with the teaming of Adam Cole and AEW World Champion MJF as Better Than You Bay Bay transforming MJF into a beloved babyface, whilst the two have headlined many major AEW shows.
The team’s popularity has apparently transferred over into the merch department, with AEW President Tony Khan revealing on the pre-WrestleDream media call that the pair are shifting a whole heap of merchandise:
"You don’t have to hate him anymore because ‘he’s our scumbag.’ That’s something that has really been embraced by the fans and it’s shown because Better Than You Bay Bay have sold an ungodly amount of merchandise and they continue to rack up that merch money for us, which is awesome. They get these massive reactions and its befitting of a top star and, in this case, a fan favourite," Khan said.
The team were set to defend their ROH World Tag Team Championships against the Righteous at AEW WrestleDream on October 1, but an ankle injury to Adam Cole has ruled him out, leaving MJF to valiantly declare he will go it alone against Vincent and Dutch.
