Roman Reigns will be back in action very soon.

The T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri has announced that Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Sami Zayn at the WWE live event on Saturday, October 14. This is the first match Reigns has been advertised for since he successfully defended WWE's top title against Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat Match at SummerSlam.

Reigns looks set to make his WWE return in the coming weeks and the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma is advertising him for the October 13 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Reigns is expected to be in action at Crown Jewel on November 4 and his return to WWE TV will kick off the build to his match at the Saudi Arabia show.

Reigns and Sami Zayn have faced off for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship twice already in 2023. Zayn first failed to defeat Reigns in Sami's hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada at Elimination Chamber on February 18. Zayn then failed again at the March 4 house show in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Zayn was previously a member of The Bloodline but he quit the group at the Royal Rumble. He would eventually secure a win over Roman Reigns at Night of Champions when Zayn and Kevin Owens successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
