Bishamon Wins NJPW World Tag League 2023

Winners of the NJPW Tag League have been crowned

The NJPW World Tag League finals were held today, and the winners of the illustrious tournament have now been crowned.

After finishing second in their Block during the first rounds of the Tag League, Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI of Bishamon managed to bounce back and overcome the team who defeated them in their block - The Guerrillas Of Destiny, Hikuleo & El Phantasmo. Bishamon would defeat Alex Coughlin & Gabe Kidd in the semi finals, before defeating the G.O.D in the finals. The match was a back and forth one, but with Hikuleo finally put through a table, it was all too much for El Phantasmo to compete with a 2-on-1 disadvantage. Bishamon ended things with Naraku to win the match and the finals.

The two teams showed respect after the match, shaking hands before Bishamon’s celebration. This marks the third successive year that Bishamon have won the NJPW World Tag League (the fifth individually for Hirooki Goto). No other team has ever achieved this feat in the history of the NJPW World Tag League.
