Former WWE and AEW personality Brandi Rhodes is recovering following surgery for stage four endometriosis, she has revealed on X (FKA Twitter).

Rhodes tweeted: "3 years of pain with no answers. @MaryseMizanin's story encouraged me to press on. Many appts later, we found the answer. Stage 4 endometriosis. Successful surgery today. Ladies, listen to your bodies. We don't have to live with pain. Advocate for yourself. Finally on the road to recovery. We have to talk more about women's health. Love you @CodyRhodes. I am so blessed with your love."

Brandi's husband Cody Rhodes has since tweeted: "I just wrote my book. It only has 2 lines. 'I love Brandi Rhodes - The End.'"

The NHS describes endometriosis as "a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes." Stage four of endometriosis is considered severe.

Former WWE star Maryse underwent a total hysterectomy earlier this year after she was diagnosed with pre-cancer of the ovaries.

Brandi Rhodes has largely been away from pro wrestling since she exited AEW in February 2022 and the 40-year-old has since announced she is retired from in-ring competition. Rhodes was present at WrestleMania 40, accompanying Cody for his main event match with Roman Reigns. She then celebrated in the ring with her husband after he won the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
