Matt Hardy, Bray Wyatt

This week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed an interesting potential plan for Bray Wyatt:

'Whether this happens or not remains to be seen but there is a pitch for Wyatt to turn on Matt Hardy and then be the leader of the Sanity group.'

Wyatt is currently aligned with Matt Hardy, having lost to him in the 'Ultimate Deletion' match before returning at the WrestleMania 34 pre-show. There, a now-babyface Wyatt helped Hardy win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, attacking Mojo Rawley and Baron Corbin, and allowing Hardy to be the last entrant standing in the ring.

If these rumours are to be true, the storyline would draw interesting parallels with another recent angle involving Bray. In late 2016 and early 2017, Randy Orton befriended Bray and joined the Wyatt Family. The pair were the two remaining survivors in a traditional tag match at Survivor Series, and Orton appeared to voluntarily forfeit his Royal Rumble-winning number one contendership status when Wyatt won the WWE Championship.

The whole thing was revealed to be a ruse when Orton burned down the Wyatt compound, and went on to defeat Bray for the title in a match at WrestleMania 33.

Now that Wyatt has been the victim of a false alliance and double-cross, it would make sense for him to employ similar tactics on a new rival in the form of Hardy. On the other hand, Bray's apparent face turn has been immediately received as a breath of fresh air. Many fans were becoming very vocally tired of his heel run online, and expressed relief at his change of attitude at WrestleMania 34.
