Despite being a focal point of All Elite Wrestling for his work as part of Swerve Strickland’s Mogul Embassy, Brian Cage is believed to currently be working injured.

Cage worked the Homecoming edition of AEW Dynamite on January 10, teaming with The Gates of Agony and Lance Archer against Adam Copeland, Dustin Rhodes, Orange Cassidy, and Preston Vance, and afterwards shared clips from the match on Instagram with the accompanying caption:

“Got my s*** in, did my version of OC ✋ in the pocket, or the 'Al Bundy Suplex' and did it all with a torn lat. Who's a machine?????? This guy ☝️ #machine #swolverine #vanillagorilla #t800”

Cage is believed to have suffered the injury on the January 3 Dynamite after taking a Bret’s rope German Suplex from Trent Beretta in the Continental Crown number one contender's four-way match.

‘The Machine’ is currently one-third of the reigning Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Champions with Mogul Embassy teammates Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun, with the team having held the belts since November 2023. Cage signed a new AEW deal in Spring 2023, and it remains to be seen if he takes time away from in-ring competition to heal up.
