Former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker has been absent from AEW programming for well over a year, but despite AEW’s Tony Khan declaring that he could see Baker back involved in AEW at some point in the future, she has yet to resurface. Baker appeared at a Sports Illustrated event and was approached by Adam Glyn about her AEW status, being asked if she was retired.

“I would say I’m not retired, no,” Baker said, when asked. In terms of a return to the ring, all Baker had to say was, “Yeah, maybe.”

Baker also revealed that she was no longer practising as a full-time dentist due to wrestling fans being way too passionate, “sometimes for their own good and for my own safety.” She explained that it got a bit too scary with wrestling fans when doing dentistry due to her heelish persona. To close out, Baker stated that she was happy that the fans keep talking about her, telling everyone to stay tuned.

It was reported last year that those in AEW expected Baker to return eventually, even with some reports of WWE interest in signing her. Baker's deal is expected to run until the latter stages of 2026.
