Janel Grant filed an amended lawsuit late on Friday, January 31, adding new details to her allegations against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. The amended lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for Connecticut, expanding the complaint from 67 to 101 pages.

Among the changes, Brock Lesnar has officially been named in the lawsuit. He was previously referred to as "WWE Superstar."

Among the allegations against McMahon, Grant has claimed the former WWE CEO informed her in July 2021 that Lesnar would be her next "playmate" during negotiations to sign Lesnar to a new WWE deal. On July 12, 2021, McMahon directed Grant to produce "personalized sexual content" for Lesnar and Lesnar allegedly flew to Connecticut on July 21 for a "business dinner" and a sexual encounter with Grant at Vince McMahon's condo. Lesnar did not return to the condo due to being too intoxicated.

McMahon continued to use a sexual encounter with Grant as a bargaining chip in signing Lesnar and McMahon allegedly texted Grant following Lesnar's signing: "Part of the deal was f*cking U."

In December 2021, Lesnar - who was given Grant's mobile/cell phone number by McMahon - allegedly requested Grant send him a video of her urinating. Grant did so, at which point Lesnar informed Grant "if she had not complied with the request, WWE Superstar would have lost any interest in her and then called her a 'bitch.'"

Later that month, Lesnar expressed his desire to arrange a sexual encounter with Grant that was ultimately cancelled due to a snowstorm.

Also within the amended complaint, Grant has alleged that Vince McMahon instructed her to produce pornographic content for WWE Vice President, Creative Writing & Booking Michael Hayes. Hayes remains employed with WWE.

"In or about September 2020, McMahon instructed Ms. Grant to create customized pornographic content for producer Michael Hayes and his crew," the amended lawsuit states.

A screenshot of text messages Grant appears to have sent Vince McMahon were included in the lawsuit. One message appears to be of Grant's body with the text saying: "Dear Vince's crew, Hope ur enjoying these pics! Xoxo."

Another image of an alleged text message from Grant reads: "Hey Michael! Vince's stories are true. And I love to live up to hype. Xoxo."

New details were provided in the amended complaint of Grant's allegations of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse against Vince McMahon.

One alleged incident was McMahon shared explicit images of Grant without her consent, including recording Grant while she was nude during a video call with John Laurinaitis. McMahon also allegedly sent a message to Grant in which he fantasized in graphic detail about watching a group of men surround her and leave her physically "wrecked."

Grant's initial lawsuit accused John Laurinaitis of sexual assault and a new detail alleges that WWE, upon Grant's transfer to Talent Relations, constructed a custom corner office "to Laurinaitis' taste". The office, which shared a wall with Paul "Triple H" Levesque's office, included an internal door which "connected directly into Laurinaitis' office." It is also alleged that WWE President Nick Khan and former WWE COO Brad Blum - who are now named in the lawsuit - were involved with the planning of Grant's custom office.

Stephanie McMahon has also been named in the lawsuit and it is claimed that she, Nick Khan, Brad Blum, and another WWE executive Brian Nurse enabled Vince McMahon's misconduct.

Dr. Carlon Colker, who was previously referred to as "Celebrity Doctor" in the lawsuit, has been named in the amended complaint. His clinic, Peak Wellness, has also been named. Among the allegations against McMahon, Grant has claimed that McMahon directed her to undergo treatments at Colker's clinic, during which she was prescribed substances when she did not know what they were. Grant filed a petition against Colker in the Summer of 2024 for evidence, including her medical records.

New evidence has also been included in Grant's account of signing the nondisclosure agreement with Vince McMahon in January 2022, including an alleged voice message from McMahon to Grant where he attempts to coerce her to sign the NDA "really f*ckin fast" so he doesn't get kicked out of his own "f*ckin company". McMahon's former longtime attorney Jerry McDevitt has also been acknowledged as the person McMahon referenced to Grant as a "high-powered attorney he had on speed dial."

Grant and McMahon ultimately signed an NDA in January 2022, but it is alleged that Grant agreed to the NDA "under duress and/or as a result of fraudulent inducement engaged in by McMahon, and the same is void as a matter of law."

The initial lawsuit alleged that the NDA was not enforceable, citing the Speak Out Act and the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000.

Grant's lawsuit also includes details of an alleged final sexual assault conducted by McMahon against her in which he forced her to perform oral sex after the NDA was signed on January 28, 2022. Grant has alleged this also undermines the enforceability of the NDA.

Before the amended complaint, WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis all filed motions to move the case to arbitration, citing a clause in the NDA that all disagreements be resolved in private mediation.

The next step in the case is Judge Sarah F. Russell will rule on whether or not to allow Grant's amended complaint to become a part of the case. The next likely big change will be Russell's ruling on whether the case is moved to arbitration or allowed to proceed.

Janel Grant's attorney Ann Callis issued the following statement to Cultaholic about the amended complaint: "Ms. Grant's amended complaint reveals new details that further demonstrate the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis and pulls back the curtain on the dangerous workplace culture McMahon created at WWE. Ms. Grant looks forward to holding her abusers accountable in a court of law."

Jessica Rosenberg, Vince McMahon's attorney, stated to POST Wrestling: "As expected, the proposed amended complaint is nothing more than the latest publicity stunt in an ongoing smear campaign. It is filled with desperate falsehoods from a team that continues to disregard the law and the truth."

Janel Grant - a WWE employee from June 2019 until March 2022 - filed an initial lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis in January 2024, within which she accused McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse. WWE were accused of trying to sweep the allegations against McMahon under the rug, while John Laurinaitis was accused of sexual assault.

McMahon resigned as TKO Executive Chairman one day after the lawsuit was filed, although he remains a TKO shareholder. McMahon had previously left WWE in the Summer of 2022 after the SEC and federal prosecutors for the Southern District of New York opened criminal investigations into undeclared payments made by McMahon from 2007 until 2022 of up to $19.6 million. While $5 million was paid to the Donald Trump Foundation in connection with Trump's appearances on WWE TV, the remaining $14.6 million in payments were made to suppress allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity.

In regards to Janel Grant, McMahon agreed to pay Grant $3 million but he stopped making payments after an initial $1 million instalment, with McMahon claiming that Grant had leaked information to the press.

A grand jury subpoena served to McMahon in the Summer of 2023 noted he had signed nondisclosure agreements with several women. Beyond Janel Grant, McMahon signed NDAs with a WWE contractor who McMahon allegedly sexually harassed and sent unsolicited nudes to, a former WWE wrestler who McMahon allegedly coerced into performing oral sex, a former spa manager who was allegedly sexually assaulted by McMahon, former WWE referee Rita Chatterton who accused McMahon of rape, and a former WWE employee who was allegedly demoted after ending an affair with John Laurinaitis.

Following his WWE departure in the Summer of 2022, McMahon forced his way back into WWE in January 2023 and then proceeded to sell the company to Endeavor, which led to the WWE-UFC merger under TKO Group Holdings later in the year.

Grant's initial lawsuit previously was paused in June 2024 following a request from the United States Department of Justice as federal prosecutors for the Southern District of New York continued their investigation into allegations of sex trafficking and sexual misconduct against McMahon. The stay on the case ended in December 2024 without any charges being filed against McMahon and people close to the former WWE CEO claimed in December that the investigation was over. With the SEC, McMahon was fined $400,000 and ordered to reimburse $1.33 million to WWE for violating the Securities Exchange Act.
