Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns Confrontation Set For 3/18 WWE SmackDown

WrestleMania 38 draws near

A confrontation between WWE champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns has been announced for next week's SmackDown broadcast.

The confrontation stems from incidents that took place at last Saturday's house show at Madison Square Garden, and during last night's SmackDown in Birmingham, AL.

Last night, Lesnar opened the broadcast, demanding that Reigns come out and face him. Paul Heyman arrived and said that Reigns wasn't there. Lesnar then asked if Reigns isn't there, then who's there to protect Heyman. Lesnar then went after his former advocate, chasing Heyman outside the venue, where Heyman managed to escape in a car before Lesnar could get to him.

Last Saturday night, Lesnar retained his WWE title over Austin Theory in the main event of the Madison Square Garden card. After the match, Lesnar was bloodied by Reigns, who then stood over the unconscious WWE champion holding up both belts.

Lesnar vs. Reigns will headline the second night of WrestleMania 38 on April 3 in Dallas. The match will be a unification bout, with the winner claiming both belts.
